SGA, student groups discuss expanding Fitness Center into pool area at spring Delegates' Agenda

His abrupt Feb. 11 resignation was followed by a period of intense speculation by the Webster University community, which was compounded by Meyer's continued lack of explanation for his departure.

The speech, introduced by John Ginsburg, director of the UC and Student Activities, concerned the history of the Schlafly Beer company, with Schlafly elaborating on some of the moves he had taken to become such a success along the way.

New dental device proven effective in treating migraines

Students who suffer from migraines may be able to put their chronic headaches behind them. A device called a nociceptive trigeminal inhibitor, or NTI, has been approved by the FDA and has an 80 percent success rate in treating migraines. Although nobody has isolated a single specific cause for migraine headaches, there are several key triggers that can start them.

Reading in decline, study shows

Americans' reading skills and the amount of time they spend reading are showing declining rates among all age groups, especially young adults aged 15-24. Teens and young adults read less often and for shorter amounts of time compared with previous studies, according to the National Endowment for the Arts' study "To Read or Not To Read.

Professors explore wireless technology in round table discussion

Advances in technology are constantly changing and shaping the ways in which we communicate. More and more professors are beginning to use wireless Internet devices and smart phones as a means of instantly communicating with students. It is a trend that has many teachers considering the usefulness of these devices as a tool in the educational process.

BASEBALL BY THE NUMBERS: John Aleshunas, associate professor in the department of math & computer science, will be presenting "Baseball by the Numbers" from 12-1 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Emerson Library Conference Room. Participants, who will learn how to get, store and manipulate baseball data, are encouraged to bring their laptops.

FEBRUARY 11: 10:00 a.m.: One subject was arrested for graffiti in West Hall, and three others were named. The Webster Groves Police Department is continuing the investigation. 3:01 p.m.: Two people fell inside the Community Music School. No injuries were observed or reported.

FEBRUARY 13: Checks and other personal items were taken from a vehicle overnight in the 10 block of Waymire Avenue. FEBRUARY 14: A vehicle was damaged while parked on a parking lot overnight at 500 North Elm Avenue. An unknown suspect was attempting to pass bad checks at 8600 Big Bend Blvd.
