Protester cage makes a mockery of free speech

They lost their rights. It was a disgrace. Demonstrators were refused their right to free speech at the vice presidential debate on Oct. 2 at Washington University. They wanted the VP candidates to hear their voices, see their signs and think seriously about how passionate they were.

Midterms are right around the corner and we here at The Journal understand that stress is going to be on the rise. Nerves will be frayed, pressure will be high, and final assignments will feel like a life or death conquest. Students will find it hard to balance life and work with their busy schedules.

Dear Presidential Candidates, While growing up I was always associated with one political party because it was the only one spoken about positively in my house. The first president I really grew up under was Bill Clinton and only seeing the surface, I thought he did a wonderful job ? minus the whole Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Quit focusing on the negative and make something good happen

There is so much negativity in the world. Reports of theft, beatings and murder are the lead news stories every night. Countless movies depict horrors of torture and excessive anger. There seems to be no escape from the angry, hurtful actions that occur in the world.
