"Paranormal Activity," hailed as one of the scariest movies of the year, was filmed in seven days for a budget of $11,000. In its first weekend in theaters, writer-director Oren Peli's film made $22 million at box offices. For a film that was produced in a week for next to nothing, "Paranormal Activity" has all the classic elements of a spine-tingling horror flick.
Jazz concert honors memory of alumni, raises money for scholarship

A celebration of life and music filled Webster University's Winifred Moore Auditorium on Oct. 26. Students, alumni and professors performed at the TKT (Terry, Kirk, Tony) Endowed Scholarship Benefit Concert, "A Celebration of the Great American Song Book." The TKT Endowed Scholarship was established after the deaths of WU alumni Terry Jackson, Kirk Cappello and Tony Saputo in a 1991 plane crash.
