Global citizenship debate rages on

The Global Citizenship Project Task Force, established to propose a new general education program for Webster University, is in the process of answering some important questions. Questions such as, "What is a global citizen, anyway." While some faculty members have raised concerns about the name of the task force, those involved in the process say the more important questions deal with what WU wants students to learn and what skills they should have upon graduation.
Glitches hinder meal-tray delivery

When the first case of H1N1 appeared at Webster University in August, administrators began taking precautionary measures in order to stop the spread of influenza on campus. Posters - urging students to stay home if they are ill - and hand sanitizer dispensers were placed throughout campus, and an emergency meal system was created by Dining Services, Housing and Residential Life (ResLife) and Student Health Services (SHS) to help deliver meals to sick students who remain on isolation in residence halls.
President Stroble visits London

Kaldi's to stay open longer for trial period

Webster University administrators are extending the hours of Kaldi's Coffeehouse for the months of December and January as a result of the fall 2009 Delegates' Agenda. Kaldi's, the new coffeehouse inside Emerson Library, will stay open until 9 p.m. Monday through Friday as part of a trial period.
Mentorship program established to help new faculty members

Webster University faculty members are working on launching a faculty mentorship program that will help show newl professors how to become involved on campus. The program was developed this semester as a result of WU hiring 24 full-time professors in August.
