Protester cage makes a mockery of free speech

I was ashamed to watch U.S. citizens with badges and guns
halt fellow citizens who gladly offered them bread and roses. It is our fundamental
right to speak freely and openly about our ideals, beliefs and morals, as long as we do not disturb the peace.
Without that plurality, we'll end up following one ideology, the one deemed appropriate by those in power. I sure as hell do not want that. I want
the powerful to hear about my passions.
No one should get in the way of my attempt to be seen or heard. I have thoughts that I want to express and hence want to practice my right to free speech.
After what I saw last Thursday, I lost faith in our democratic system. Stripping people of free expression is the first step towards fascism. A fascist leader punishes dissent and does as he or she pleases while the masses suffer.
Free speech cannot be pent up in a public viewing area. Free speech cannot get stuck behind
a barricade. Free speech cannot be lost.
I suppose if I lose free speech though, I'll have my right to free press.
Until the authorities figure out how to put me in a "competitive questioning zone."

Boy, am I glad that I do not live in the USA and have to choose between the donkeys who think they know how to run the world.
