MOVE OUT SAFETY TIPS: Residents should not leave cars parked in the circle drives, fire lanes, handicap accessible spots, or other illegal parking spots. Cars could get ticketed or towed. In case of emergency, cars could be responsible for blocking emergency vehicles or personnel. Residents should find legal parking spots to use while loading things. Residents should keep rooms, apartments and vehicles locked while they are unattended to prevent theft.
DONATE FOOD: If residents have non-perishable, not expired and unopened food, they can drop it in the large red barrel for the St. Louis Area Food bank. There is one barrel per housing area: one in the Webster Village Apartment Clubhouse, one at the Maria Hall front desk and one each near the entrances to West and East halls. Residents can even donate clothes, appliances, decorations and other miscellaneous items to Goodwill. There are cardboard boxes with signs next to the big red barrels in each housing area. The contents of these boxes will be taken to a local Goodwill.
WVA POOL OPENS: The pool at the WVA Clubhouse opened at 8 p.m. Monday April 27. Swimmers must remember the pool policies:
•The pool area is for the enjoyment of WVA residents. Any guests must be escorted by a resident at all times.
•A resident can have no more than two guests at a time. There is no lifeguard on duty, so the pool is to be used at the swimmers' risk.
•There is no diving, running, or horseplay permitted.
•No glass is permitted in the pool or spa areas, and alcohol and cigarettes are not allowed.
•There is a limit to five people in the spa at one time, and minors under the age of 18 cannot use spa or pool without an adult in attendance.
